Church Organizations

 

Adults - RCIA
Religious instructions for Adults wanting to become members of the Catholic Church. The meetings are usually held on Monday night from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This program is also for Catholics who would like to learn more about their Catholic faith.

Athletic Association
This program is for all children in our area who would like to participate in soccer and volleyball. We are in the process of trying to expand our program to basketball. Soccer and volleyball sign-up is in May for a fall league. Basketball sign up is in October for a winter league.

Baptism Preparation Program
To help prepare the parents and godparents to fully understand their responsibility in bringing their child up in the Catholic Faith. Please contact the rectory for further information.

Board of Education
To assist the pastor in establishing the school philosophy and goals according to the Archdiocesan guidelines. Advises the pastor in the setting of policy and providing direction for the Education of our students. Develops long - range planning for the future of our school and provides information about our school to the community at large. Meetings are the third Wednesday of the month during the school year.

Boy Scouts
Boy Scout Troop 29 meets every Tuesday night at 7:30 PM in the auditorium. All boys in grade 6th through high school can join in the adventure of scouting.

Cub Scouts
Cub Scout Pack 29 is for any boy in 1st through 5th grade who would lace to have fun with other boys in an organized group. As they strive to achieve various accomplishments within the Cub Scouts program.

Girl-Scouts
This program is designed for Girls of elementary school age wishing to participate in group activities. Daisy kindergarten, Brownies 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade, Juniors 4th, 5th, and 6th and Cadets 7th and 8th.

Cantors, Eucharistic Minister, Lectors, Servers
We are all servers of God and we can become servers of the community by, music, distributing Communion, proclaiming the scriptural word of God or by serving at the altar. If you would like to serve the community in this way, please contact Ralph Wehner at 636-394-9915.

Guitar Choir
Provides spiritual music at the Sunday Masses. Choir is led by pianist; organist or guitar. Practice is held on Wednesday evenings in the Church at 7:30 PM. Come and join us.

Home and School Association
This association is for every school parent. The Home and school Association provides parents the opportunity to address various school issues, and to help with various fund-raisers.

Knights of Columbus
St. Anthony Council 8588 is a fraternal organization for Catholic men of the parish. The Knights of Columbus provides support to our parish in faith and hospitality, as well as socially. Meetings are help on the first and third Thursday of each month at our new location K C Park.

K of C Ladies Auxiliary
The Ladies Auxiliary is for the wives of the Knights and they provide support to the men's council.

Ladies Altar Sodality
We welcome all ladies to come and join us and participate in are various activities, Hospitality Sunday on the first Sunday, flowers on the altar and seasonal decorations, Birthright Shower, Rosary before the 5:00 PM Mass on the second Saturday and we also send out sympathy and get well cards. Our meetings are on the second Thursday from September to April at 7:00 PM in the school cafeteria.


Men's Club
For all men in the parish to assist in projects of the church, and to coordinate and fund youth programs. Our Men's Club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in the Parish meeting room.

Parish Council
The parish council is made up of representatives of each organization to come together to discuss parish mission and goals. Our mission is to try to make our parish a family with God. Where people will come together in prayer. Our goal is for everyone to not only give their treasures but their time and talents for the good of their parish.

Picnic Committee
Our picnic is held in May with games, booths, bingo, fried chicken dinners, etc. Come and join the fun and meet new people.

Prayer Group
Come pray with us on Monday evenings at 7:30 PM. We praise God by reading the bible and singing.

Pre School
The future of our children begins with preschool. St. Anthony's preschool program is structured for children four and five. Preschool is designed to prepare the children for Kindergarten and begins laying the groundwork for their religious faith.

Prolife
Promotes Prolife activity and respect for human life within the community.

Quilters
If you would lace to help make quilts and engage in sociability you are invited to join us. We meet every Tuesday after the 8:00 AM Mass in the Quilting room. Quilts are made for raffles, for chef people and some for sale.

St. Vincent De Paul Society / Food Pantry
Our objectives are to assist the hungry, homeless and the hurting people in the High Ridge Area. We distribute food through the Food Pantry on Thursday from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Meetings are at 2:00 PM on the first Thursday of each month in the pantry.

Saint Anthony School
St. Anthony's school has served the faith community in High Ridge since 1947. It continually strives to be an authentic P.S.R. of the teaching ministry of the Church to children, Pre-school through Eighth grade. Fully accredited and a member of the National Catholic Educational Association, our lay faculty and staff guided by our Principal, Pat Kohn, endeavors to employ sound innovative educational programs and strategies to nurture and promote growth in all areas of childhood development. As partners with parents and /or guardians, we believe that each child is a unique person with individual gifts and talents and must be treated as such. Genuine concern, cooperation, and communication are requisite of all involved in this important Catholic endeavor.

P.S.R - Parish School of Religion
Provides the opportunity for children (Grades 1 through 8) who attend public school to augment parental instruction and guidance in sharing our Catholic heritage. Classes meet in our school building on Monday evenings, 6:30 - 8:00 PM, September to May. Preparation for the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation requires a two-year program enrollment.
